Explore Sweden Now is a static website. It sets no cookies, embeds no advertising and uses no third-party trackers — fonts and all assets are served from this site. That's why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Anonymous visitor counting
To see which guides are read, the site counts page views with
Umami, an open-source analytics tool
that we host ourselves at analytics.erlandsson.online. It sets no cookies, stores
no IP addresses and builds no profile of you; what it records is the page, the referring site,
and the browser, device type and country in aggregate. The data is not shared with or sold to
anyone.
One setting, stored on your device
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local
storage (vsg-theme) so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your
device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Search happens in your browser
Site search runs entirely in your browser against a prebuilt index. Your search terms are not sent to us or to anyone else.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, the server that delivers these pages keeps standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, time) for security and reliability. They are used for nothing else and are deleted on rotation.
Changes
If any of this ever changes, this page will say so plainly before it happens.
